Slow Progress
Started playing Cockles and Mussles, a sing I've never heard before. I'm really proud of myself because I can play the right hand without looking down at the keyboard. I've pretty much memorized all the notes for the right hand. I've about halfway memorized the left hand. I find that I know the notes that I'm supposed to hit with my left hand but its harder for me to move my fingers smoothly. I guess this is because I'm right handed.

Absolutely, and it will get easier and easier as you practice. It's also great that you're working on a piece that you're not familiar with- you can't "cheat" (even though it's not reallllly cheating) and play it as you remember rather than reading the notes. Can't wait to hear it!
